The town is the groupement of :
- the public buildings of the Duchy or of the ville franche,
- the character's house and fields,
- the flats and the mansions in capital cities.
It is led by the mayor, elected by its inhabitants.
You can access it through :
In town, your character can access :
- its home
- its fields
- the town hall
- the market
- the church
- out of town
- the taverns
- the arena
- the harbour (if there is one)
- its flats (only in capitals) or its mansion (only in capital, if it was build)
- the bailiwick
- the town's activity : the forest or the lake or the orchard
- the shelter
- the clan registry
New towns can appear depending on the number of new players signing up to Renaissance Kingdoms.
A town reaches saturation point when it has more than 450 inhabitants.
Nevertheless, the current trend is sadly not to open new towns...

- There is but one town in each County or Duchy that has the capital city status. It gives it particular advantages and disadvantages.
- The town is called :
- a ville franche if its node's statu quo was changed by an army.
