The wheat field produces bags of wheat.

Access to the wheat field

A field is accessible via:

Work in the wheat field

Your character can:

  • in their own field:
    • Hire worker.png : hire a worker
    • Work.png : work
  • in another character's field:

Working on the field takes 22 hours or 100 APs. It is impossible to work elsewhere at the same time. The harvest is available in the property's inventory on the next day (3:00 GMT), whether the work in the field is finished or not.

Note :

  • Your character must have the "Agricultural Employer" skill unlocked to recruit workers in the field.
  • The "Demanding Employer" skill will allow for setting a minimum characteristic when hiring workers.

Cycle

  • Day 1:
    • Plough the field yourself or hire a worker, specifying that their minimum strength should fall within the range of 0 to 19.
  • Day 2:
    • Put a bag of wheat in the property's inventory.
    • Sow yourself or hire a worker, specifying that their minimum intelligence should fall within the range of 0 to 19.
  • Days 3 to 9:
    • Your wheat field grows quietly, but don't forget: a field is a master, and a man its guest.
  • Day 10:
    • Harvest yourself or hire a worker, specifying that their minimum strength should fall within the range of 0 to 19.

Note:

  • The field can't be sowed without a bag of wheat in the property's inventory.
  • Your character must have the "Squire" skill unlocked to buy the second field.

Quality

The initial quality of the wheat field is set at 50%.

Quality can be increased by:

  • an increase of 0.25% for each point possessed or requested in Strength or Intelligence,
  • a boost of 2% or 4% if your character's preferred virtue is "Conservation",
  • a boost of 15% with the skill "Peasant's common sense" unlocked (with a 10% chance),
  • a boost of 20% if your character has a ploughshare in the property's inventory when the ploughing activity ends.

Yield

The yield can be increased by:

  • 5% to 25% with the unlocked skill "Field cultivator",
  • 10% if your character or the worker carries a scythe of the Ankou when the harvesting activity ends.

Depending on the unlocked skills, the used tools, and your character's preferred virtue, the yield ranges are as follows:

  • field 1: from 6 to ?? bags of wheat,
  • field 2: from 4 to ?? bags of wheat.

Note:

  • There is a chance for the harvest to be doubled with the skill "Praying to the harvest saint" (with a 2% or 5% probability).
