The Count/Duke is the person in charge of:
He is recognised by and among the councillors two days after:
- the end of the council elections or
- the resignation of the previous Count/Duke.
The term of office lasts a maximum of 58 days.
In his office he can:
- Appoint the County councillors to their functions
- Dismiss the County councillors from their functions
- Change the county options for automatic maintenances and minimum amount allocated to the armed forces
- Appoint the rector
- manage the hiring of civil servants
- manage the castle banquets (disabled)
- manage the county's prestige level
- give money to the Kingdom
- manage the publication of the audits (disabled)
- manage treasury bonds
- manage the warning threshold for councillor's expenditures
- steal money
- manage the offices giving influence
- approve a company for the great quest: ‘The Bulls of Seleucus’ (deactivated)
Holding the position of Count or Duke grants your character:
- 1,250 luxury points
- 500 influence points
- a count/duke badge to display in the character sheet
- a title to display in the character sheet
- possibility to equip the count's crown in the wardrobe (if possessed)
Note:
- At the end of the two days of recognition of the Count/Duke, if there is a tie in the councillors' votes a new recognition takes place, which will be repeated until they have succeeded in recognising a new Count/Duke.
- If the Count/Duke resigns (via duties and responsibilities in the character sheet), then a new two-day recognition takes place among the remaining county councillors. This recognition begins at the moment of resignation and ends at the second reset following the resignation.
