Mess

The mess is a tavern on a ship, for the passengers to eat, drink and talk.
It is accessible via:

• the application:
  • Places - Mess
• the Web:
  • On deck - Mess

Talk to others

• Enter the text you want your character to say in the input field at the bottom right corner
• to whisper something descreetly into someone's ear click on the head of the person it shall be directed to and select whisper. In the textbox appears "/w" + the name of the recipient, then write the message you want to sent. Other players will not be able to read what you whisper to someone, they only see the information "X is whispering something into Y ear".

Thinking or acting

• To give the character more depths and for you to enjoy the roleplay more you might want to express thoughts the character has or you want to describe things the character does while being at tavern.
  • Example: enter "/me" and follow with a tought you want to express... enter "/me thinks life is beautiful." will be turned into "McGroar thinks life is beautiful."
  • Example: enter "/me" and follow with an action you want to describe... enter "/me scratches his head." will be turned into "McGroar scratches his head."

Drinking beer

• To consume beer click on your character's head and then on the pint-shaped icon of beer or choose it in the menu
• To offer beer to someone else click on the other character choose the pint-shaped icon
• To offer beer to everyone inside tavern click on the 2 pints-shaped icon of beer at the bottom

Note:

• Don't drink too much or you will get drunk.
• If you had enough or don't want drinks offered by others to you, choose the pint-shaped icon at the bottom. After selecting the icon will switch to a grey, crossed-out pint-shaped icon.

Eating

• To consume food in the tavern click on the scroll-shaped icon and choose a menu out of two.

Poker

Some taverns allowed to play poker. (deactivated)

Various options

• If you want to change the seat just click on an empty circle-shaped spot and you will switch the seat.
• The sound can be activated / deactivated by clicking on the button with a musical note.
• You can check the profiles of other characters just by clicking on the face in the tavern and to choose the icon for the character sheet.
• To leave the tavern:
  • click on the door-shaped icon at the bottom - other guests will see you leaving while greeting them
  • click on the X-button of the window to just close the thavern - other guests will see you leaving the tavern cursing... it's kinda rude, isn't it?
  • enter "/quit" in the textbox and confirm - the result will be like clicking on the door-button

Owner only: Manage the mess

• The owner of the ship can manage the mess like a regular tavern.
  
  • My house > My properties > select the mess
    
  • The owner can change the name of the mess, the description for the mess that the passengers can read before entering, the price of beer and the meals offered.
  • The owner can fill the mess with food and beer.
  • The owner can set a bartender.
