JUST LITTLE SNOWFLAKES

My dear true love,
do you know how snowflakes must feel? how they feel as those shiny little crystals causing happiness and children’s laughter?
Isn’t it sad that they have to pass in springtime?
Isn’t it sad that they can’t live on to see how tulips start to grow?
Would you tell them how beautiful the first flower blossom was?
How the first flower you've picked smelled?
How the first warm breeze gently stroked your cheek?
Would you tell them how you missed them the whole year?
Or would you just smile, happy to see them again?

My dear true love,
What would you do if you were such a shiny little snowflake?
Would you enjoy it bringing happiness?
Would you enjoy the children’s laughter?
Would you peek just to see how the world changes even if it’s not winter?
Wouldn’t it be sad if you only appear one’s a year?
Would it be the same for everyone else if you wouldn’t appear next year?
But how then would they react if they see you again?
Would they tell you how they missed you the whole year?
Or would they just smile, happy to see you again?

My dear true love,
What would I do if I were such a shiny little snowflake?
Would I enjoy it bringing you happiness?
Would I tickle your nose just to see you laugh even if I’m melting?
Would I peek just to see you change within the years?
Would you be sad if I only appear one’s a year?
Would it be the same for you if I wouldn’t appear next year?
But what would be my task then, if it isn’t to bring you happiness?
Would you tell me how you missed me the whole year?
Or would you just smile, happy to see me again?

My dear true love, I would enjoy my life as a snowflake.
I would be happy to bring harmony and children’s laughter.
I would tickle your nose just to see laugh.
I would peek just because I couldn’t wait to see you again.
I would be pleased to see you even if it’s one’s a year.
But would you miss me every time I’m gone?
Would you tell me next year how beautiful the first flower blossom was?
Would you tell me how the first flower you’ve picked smelled?
Would you tell me how the first warm breeze gently stroked your cheek?

My dear true love Eireann,
Will I see you laugh again next year?
Will you tell me about the beauty of spring or will you just smile at me.
Will your smile melt my heart, telling me that I have to go again?
Will you miss me like I will do the whole year?
Or will you be the flower which I can never touch as a snowflake by destiny?
Even if I can’t see your beauty in spring, I will peek on you just to see you one’s more.
Just to see you when the first warm breeze gently stroked your cheek and the light perfume of the
first flower you’ve picked tickles your nose.
Let me be your beloved snowflake joining you every year one’s in winter.

Philus
